Norfleet is a partner in the business law department and serves as chair of the department. He has broad and extensive experience in many areas of business law, and in recent years has focused his practice on mergers and acquisitions, securities, private equity, and general corporate representation. Norfleet also serves as special counsel to independent committees, individual directors, and minority shareholders in connection with corporate change-in-control transactions and internal investigations. Norfleet is active in bar leadership and other professional matters, and served as President of the North Carolina Bar Association in 2002-2003.
