Susan is a partner in the intellectual property section of the business law department. She focuses her practice on patents, trademarks, copyrights and unfair competition, as well as licensing and opinion work. Susan places particular emphasis on patent preparation and prosecution. Susan also has experience in representing both international and domestic clients having a foreign intellectual property portfolio. Susan has also counseled clients on software and technology export issues. She is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Prior to joining the firm, she was with Clariant Corporation, Charlotte, N.C.
